Sorry it’s been a while since any of us posted on here - we’ve had the most manic couple of months known to man. Our traffic and sales projections for all of 2008 were beaten a week ago and we’ve been rapidly scaling things up to cope with all the extra orders. It’s been an amazing ride so far and this year looks set to be one hell of a steep, yet fun curve.
Over the weekend we got a sudden spike in traffic and then heard that Webtogs has been featured in a full page spread in the Telegraph - hurray! I can’t find a link to the online version yet (maybe they haven’t put it live yet) so here’s the scanned in article (click on it to see a larger version)
Our Zero hassle, eco-friendly, easy-to-use site messages came across really well and we’re chuffed to bits. Who would have thought that a small campfire chat last year would result in so much so soon…Onward!

Glad to hear you’re doing well!
Hey guys, this is great! Well done. Was there an increase in sales during that weekend spike? We’ve had quite a few features in papers and magazines - we did notice an increase in traffic, but very rarely has it led to direct sales.
Hi Shane, good to hear from you. Yes it did lead to marked increase in sales. Our traffic roughly doubled on the day compared to usual, but the interesting stat was our conversion rate, it lept up by about 3% on the Sunday and the Monday.
“You won’t find a more customer website” - great quote! Well done guys.
customer “friendly”
Thanks Paul - now go order some stuff!
Wow, that’s some performance. Great news and hope you dump on your competitors. Would love to see Salomon and Icebreaker as well … and HH base layers
Well done and if you open the store in Blandford can you bung me a mail!
Hi James, Thanks for the great feedback. We’ve got Icebreaker for winter this year, along with lots of other great brands, gonna post on this subject soon. We’ll have the HH baselayers live in the next few weeks.
As for the store, we opened in late december, just before Christmas, it’s 47B East st, just up from the market square, Store is called “Webtogs” so you can’t miss it. Colin Dennis is our store manager, he’s a great bloke, pop in and buy him a latte (no sugar!)
Cheers for that James - will pop in next time in Sixpenny Handley.
